Day 24: October 11th, 2012
Our last day in Ati :(! So I woke up and organized all my things, to be ready for checking out. Then I arrived to the morning meeting and Javier P directed it, he had planned a very nice activity. It consisted about telling the funniest thing that you experienced, what you learned about the person on the right and what you learned about yourself. I think it was the perfect activity for our last morning meeting because it gave this air of happiness and positivity. Later we had our breakfast, it was delicious and we shared some time with the birthday girl (Isa Gadala). So, for today was the essay and so I needed a computer to type it and hand it in. Bert told us he had a printer. So I typed my essay as fast as I could and gave it in on time! Later I grabbed my stuff to check out. I can say I did everything on time and I was ready to go. However people were having trouble because they didn't have computer so we stayed to have lunch there because of our lateness. We went to have lunch at Hotel Casa Rosa, with Marce, Isa Gadala, Chacho and Kata. I asked for a nutella crepe, and while waiting we just chilled out on a bed that was on the pier. It was very very fun, I enjoyed contemplating the lake and its beauty. Finally, the food arrived and the crepe was very delicious. After this, we took a boat and arrived where the bus was waiting for us. We waited about 20 minutes and then the bus arrived. I fell asleep in the way back, and later we stopped in a restaurant to go to the bathroom and buy some snacks. We then returned to the bus and Carmen took a microphone and started joking around. I love her sense of humor and it was just what we needed before arriving to Guatemala. I laughed a lot, it was really funny what she said. One of the remarkable things she said was: "Bert...what do you mean about cheese?". And also, Bert and Ingrid were answering funny things as well. It was the perfect mood to close our trip. Around 7:00 p.m we arrived to the university, they picked me up and I went home. During my way home I thought about how incredible this trip was, and that we really bonded a lot with each other. It was full of experiences, discoveries and learning. I can't wait to make more trips!
