"Nada se pierde, nada se crea, todo se transforma". -Jorge Drexler
EPICYCLE GEB: ROBERTO BLUM
Chunking is grouping the things that are alike. How does eureka arouse? Connecting, grouping and reacting to those connections. When different parts of something are united we can see the whole. However, we have to have the problem defined in order to resolve it. There are different levels and hierarchies that can be grouped forming a whole. The intelligence of the whole is greater that the intelligence of its parts.
How do we know what is real and what is a dream? Can our mind distinguish what is real? How do we know we aren't in a game or in a manipulated reality?
DRAWING
Proportional relationships. Shift to the artist's way of seeing.
EUCLID
Exploring Piet Mondrian.
MUSIC
Madrigal singing.
FIRE IN THE EQUATIONS
Beauty? What happens when we reach objective truth? What is our instrument to reach objective truth? Scientific method. Kitty Ferguson mentions that is naive view to think science is objective because after all the scientific method is a point of view as well, and that causes a limit.
CLASSICAL STUDIES: MENO
If you know there's no reason to look for it, if you don't how will you know that this was the thing that you don't know? I think Plato is mentioning that we have to embark the journey of exploring knowledge, what we know and what we don't, because that will make us less passive persons.
LAB PHOTOGRAPHY
We learned a bit about chemistry and physics through photography, we watched a couple of pictures that where outstanding. I found impressive the endeavor human beings took to capture a specific moment in time.
DRAMA
"The Way of Improvisation": Ted talk by Dave Morrison.
1.Play: engage in something you like
2. Let yourself fai
3. Listen: listening is the willingness to change.
4. Say yes: a series of "yeses" takes us somewhere, one "no" can stop everything.
5. Play the game
6. Relax and have fun
LEARNING PROCESSES: BODY LANGUAGE
We observed our body language, I took some notes about what I concretely saw:
-Little eye contact
-Sleepy faces
-People wandering
-Crossed arms
-People smiled when learning something new
-Posture
We also thought that we should have more spontaneous dialogues because they are more "alive".
CELEBRATE WHAT'S RIGHT
HOW CAN WE FIX WHAT'S WRONG?
REFLECTION OF THE WEEK
I'm constantly asking these questions: are we real? is reality manipulated? What if we can pop-out the system? Are we really going to understand our mind? Is there life outside Earth? Maybe we can't recognize or perceive life outside the Earth, I mean, maybe our senses limit us. That's the most scary thought to reflect about, our limits. Maybe we are trapped in the darkness of ignorance. Are we ever going to pop-out human ignorance?

- We are acknowledging our peers
HOW CAN WE FIX WHAT'S WRONG?
- Follow the rubrics
- Get started with the thank-you letters
- Set goals to achieve them
- Keep up with our essays
- Be more aware of others
- Understanding why we are being misunderstood
