Today it was a very frustrating morning! It all begun yesterday when I didn't have eye contact lens solution. So, I decided to use the one of my step-brother; bad idea, because the bottle was very different to the one I use. However, I didn't care and took off my contact lens and used that solution. Then I fall asleep and my alarmed rang, I was so tired that I deactivate it and never activated again. I woke up at 6!! And usually at that time I leave my house to arrive punctual to MPC. I managed to be ready in less than 5 minutes and then grabbed my contact lens to wear them. When I placed the contact lens at my right eye, it hurt! I felt as if someone was burning my eye! It was awful and I instantly throw it out of my eye and grabbed my glasses, also a new pair of contact lens. My eye was really really red, so when I was driving I checked out my eye. I don't know how, or why the car before me suddenly braked. I couldn't break that fast because of the type of car I was driving and so I crashed...it was the first time in my life! I was very nervous and embarrassed because the car I crashed, crashed the car before it. Well, later I told some mpc-ers that I had an accident and I was going to be late. After two hours, we've got everything set with the insurance company and finally I could leave. I arrived at MPC around 9 or 10 a.m, yes with my car crashed and my eye red!
When I arrived I had time to work on my individual work, so I read and finished the four chapters of How to Read a Book by Mortimer Adler. Later I read Taming the Infinite by Ian Stewart and continued reading Getting Real. It was all about reading.
We had a visit from Richard Kamber and Scott Lee, we had an amazing dialogue which I described my experience and what I learned on the link of their names. It was a wonderful dialogue, actually is a great experience to have dialogues with well-educated people that are skillful in dialoguing.
At Euclid's class we discussed again the postulates and the common notions, but we had a hard time finishing the understanding of the definitions, so we focused on that. Of course, we didn't go through all the postulates and common notions. The next activity was to get together with another group, in this case we gathered with Alejo, Inés and Javier Parellada, to discuss our understanding on the postulates and common notions. The issue here was that my group and I hadn't finished discussing everything, so we didn't had a good dialogue with the other group. After all, we understood them but the group was kind of upset because we weren't ready. Then we returned and shared our experiences. We finished our day trying to understand Euclid, and we moved our Getting Real discussion to Monday.
